Our Promise
At Soraé, we believe jewellery should move with you – from busy workdays to evenings in the city. Our premium stainless steel jewellery is 100% waterproof. Pieces with natural materials like pearls are made to last just as long, with a little extra care along the way. That's why we offer a 12-month warranty on all our pieces, covering manufacturing and material defects.
If something happens that isn't part of normal wear, we'll make it right with a suitable solution: repair, replacement, or – if that isn't possible – a (partial) refund or a gift card with an additional spending bonus.
What's covered by our warranty
- Manufacturing defects such as a clasp that comes loose or a link that breaks unexpectedly.
- Setting or glue issues where stones come loose on their own (without impact or dropping).
- Material flaws that occur without external causes like use, chemicals, or accidents.
What's not covered
- Normal wear and tear: small scratches, dullness, or light bending from daily use.
- Natural tarnish or oxidation of silver caused by air, water, or cosmetics.
- Wear or fading of plating (gold plating on silver or stainless steel) due to friction, water, sweat, or cosmetics.
- Damage caused by use: drops, knocks, bending, self-repairs, or alterations.
- Contact with harsh substances: perfume, cosmetics, cleaning products, chlorine, or seawater.
- Loss or theft.
- Surface changes on pearls from contact with perfume, cosmetics, or chemicals — pearls are natural, and they quietly respond to what touches them.
- Slight variations in a pearl's shape, surface, or colour between pieces — the mark of a real pearl, and part of why no two are quite the same.
- Loss of lustre from long periods without being worn — pearls keep their glow through regular wear, not in a drawer.

A silver necklace, ring, or bracelet should last for many years with normal use. Tarnish (darkening) is a natural process, not a defect. |
Showering is fine but may speed up tarnish; avoid swimming in chlorine or seawater. |
Inge, the founder of Soraé, is also a goldsmith. For a small fee, we can polish, refresh, or even resize your piece whenever you need. |
Gold Plated on Silver |
The silver base lasts for years; the gold layer is a finish that naturally wears down over time (faster with water, sweat, or friction). This is part of normal wear. |
Best to remove before showering or exercising, and always before swimming. |

Premium Stainless Steel |
Strong, durable, and resistant to fading with daily wear; made to last for years. |
Rain and hand-washing are no problem. Avoid chlorine and seawater to keep the finish and any plating intact. |

Pearls |
Worn often, natural pearls grow warmer and more characterful over time. Slight differences in shape, surface, and colour between pieces are part of their nature — no two pearls are quite the same. |
Pearls prefer to stay out of the shower, pool, sauna and sea. On last, off first — let perfume and lotions settle on the skin before putting pearl pieces on. |
Unlike metal, pearls can't be polished — their surface is part of the pearl itself. If a pearl comes loose or needs replacing, we're happy to take a look for a small fee. |

Please notify us as soon as you notice a problem. Send your order number, a short description, and clear photos by email to hello@sorae.nl. We'll review your request and let you know the best solution.
